Each consultation is organised around a presenting concern rather than around a named product. An award is a matter of record, not a promise about the outcome of any procedure. ### Practice policies - In person, by one doctor: every consultation, plan and procedure is performed by Dr Cumpston. Nothing is delegated to associates, nurse injectors under remote prescription, or non-medical staff. - No procedure without a consultation: all procedures begin with an in-person consultation, and the AHPRA-required cooling-off period for higher-risk non-surgical procedures is applied without exception. - No procedures on people under 18. - No promotional procedures: the clinic does not offer free or discounted procedures in exchange for promotion, social-media content, reviews or testimonials. This is a written policy. - Plain-language information: every treatment page describes the consultation in plain English, including who it suits, who it does not, the risks and the recovery. - Aftercare you can reach: patients can contact the clinic directly after a procedure. Not a consultation (no examination, diagnosis or procedure offered), but it moves the person into a private context and allows the clinic to send specific written information ahead of any in-person consultation. Twenty places released each week; no payment required. It satisfies the first part of the stronger two-part informed-consent process introduced by AHPRA's September 2025 higher-risk-procedure guidelines; it can also be skipped. 2. Booking the consultation. By phone (0452 108 308), email (info@drjclinics.com.au) or the concern-led booking page. A consultation fee applies and is disclosed before booking. 3. The pre-consultation form. Completed online before arrival; asks about goals, treatment and medical history, allergies, medications and a short wellbeing check. It is a regulatory requirement under the AHPRA 2025 guidelines and forms part of the medical record. 4. The consultation itself. In person with Dr Cumpston: review of goals, medical history, medications, allergies, prior procedures and relevant history; examination of the areas considered; discussion of options including not proceeding. 5. The written treatment plan. Describes the proposed procedure, the substances or devices to be used, the expected effect, the risks, the expected recovery and the indicative cost. It can be taken away to read. 6. The cooling-off period. Required by AHPRA's September 2025 guidelines for higher-risk non-surgical procedures, and observed without exception, so the decision can be made away from the consulting room. 7. Informed consent. Written consent is required before any procedure and can be withdrawn at any time, with no penalty for changing one's mind. 8. The procedure. Performed in person by Dr Cumpston. Procedure time varies from around fifteen minutes to up to ninety minutes. Written aftercare instructions are provided. 9. Aftercare and follow-up. The clinic is reachable directly for any concern. Routine follow-up is typically scheduled two to four weeks afterwards. There is no charge to review a complication from a procedure performed at the clinic. ### Costs Cosmetic procedures are not covered by Medicare or by most private health insurance. Costs vary by procedure and by the amount of product required. The consultation and the written treatment plan both give an indicative cost. Payment is not required for a procedure before consultation, and there are no pre-purchase package deals. ### Cancellation and rescheduling Please give at least 24 hours' notice where possible. There is no penalty for cancelling within the cooling-off period or for deciding not to proceed. --- ## Risks Every cosmetic procedure carries risk.
